A graduate student is expected to stay up-to-date with current literature. Should he/she be visiting all 25-30 journal sites, everyday, and spending hours filtering papers in his/her research field? This is so tiresome and tedious that many of us prefer not to do it at all. And as a result, we lose track of our own research field and we hardly have any familiarity with other research areas.

What if someone were to aggregate all of these papers in one place and categorize them into various sub areas? Wouldn't this make tracking papers much easier and more efficient?

These were our feelings when we conceived the idea of NanoInfoline. We have created an open portal, where one can find current papers categorized into different research fields within the topic of nanoscience and nanotechnology. NanoInfoline will keep researchers up-to-date with the latest literature easily and more efficiently by providing aggregated and organized listings of research findings and papers gathered from leading journals with daily updates. Discussion section is provided with every listed paper where one can post comments/questions and authors or other experts, in that field, can respond and explain the details and this will help the community better understand the paper.

Various other sections, such as Blogs, Forums, and Witter have been designed to make nanoscience research more accessible and a little more fun. Nano-Blogs and Nano-Forums will promote discussions and on Nano-Witter scientists can stay connected with their peers through the exchange of quick and frequent updates, status messages, and conversations. A comprehensive list of conferences will help researchers organize their yearly calendar, and discussion sections for each conference will help researchers exchange information. News and videos about nano world from various sources will also be updated on a daily basis.

We aspire to make NanoInfoline a one-stop resource for the nano-research community (graduate students, professors, R&D scientists, etc.) from all over the world and to foster scientific discussions and understanding among them.

We would appreciate feedback from the community to help us improve the quality of this resource.
